Peter qualified at the London Hospital in 1964, with distinction in surgery. He had his own practice in Dunmow, Essex from 1964 to 1975, after which he had a short spell in Schools' Dentistry.  Following that he had a break from dentistry until he  moved to Guernsey in 1985 and opened The Halfway Dental Practice in 1990.

His special interests are:

The prevention of dental decay and disease by sound nutrition, based mainly on the teachings of Surgeon-Captain T.L. Cleave who developed his concept of The Saccharine Disease - that the modern degenerative diseases including diabetes, coronary thrombosis, varicose veins, bowel cancer and a multitude of others including dental caries are a single disease caused by the refined carbohydrates - sugar and white flour.

General dentistry including crown and bridgework.

Peter particularly enjoys denture work.
