Jan Ozard Jan qualified as an oral hygienist from Kings College Hospital London in 1976 having already previously qualified as a dental surgery assistant. Her first position as a hygienist was for Mr.B.Sheer a Harley street peadodontist ( childrens' dentist ) where she only treated children.

She also worked for the Catford research programme with school children for 18 months. After this she relocated to Holland working in a family practice with extended oral hygiene duties where she became adept in taking x-rays, administering local anaesthetics, placing temporary fillings, recementing crowns and other dental procedures. After 2 years in Holland she moved to Rome to work for Professor Marcello Cattabriga a specialist periodontist ( specialist in gum disease ). Under his guidance she became an expert in root planing and curetage of gingival tissues. Two years later she briefly returned to the UK before coming to Guernsey in 1986 where she worked for various dental practices before joining The Halfway Dental Practice in 1989.

Jan recently completed an Advanced Bleaching Seminar and Hands-on Course.

Jan is also a qualified Indian Head masseuse.
