We have a policy of continual investment and improvement.  No expense, time or trouble has been spared to improve the facilities at our practice  to allow treatment to be carried out to a very high standard.

We have four surgeries, each with Adec chairs and Belmont x-ray equipment.  The following are some of the main areas of importance;-

Decontamination and Sterilisation
The new HTM 01.05 'best practice' guidelines mandate a separate 'dirty' area for decontamination and a separate 'clean' area for steriliation.  We now have completely separate decontamination and sterilisation rooms.  We also have a washer/disinfector, ultrasonic machins, and the latest vacuum autoclave to ensure the highest standards of sterilisation.  mNAy items are single use including all root canal files and reamers.

Magnification
The better a dentist can see, the easier it is to carry out dentistry to a consistently high standard.  All precision dentistry in this practice is carried out under magnification and illumination.

Materials
We are a mercury-free practice and use only white (composite) fillings.

X-ray
We have our own panoral x-ray machine in addition to the normal x-ray machines in each surgery.  The panoral is essential for the correct assesment of may common dental problems such as impacted wisdom teeth and for implantology case planning.  We use whatever x-rays are appropriate for each individual case.  All our x-ray equipment is now digital for maximum diagnostic information with the least patient dosage.
